Belle Colwell is a 20-year-old student in her third year at Mount Allison University. She is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program and majoring in music. Belle has taken piano lessons since 2008 with her instructor Sue Richards. 

Since the age of seven, Belle has participated in the Harvey Musical festival, accumulating awards such as the Don Messer Memorial award. She has also partaken in many local events around New Brunswick, performing for holiday festivities and working with other musicians. 

Before the pandemic, she was given the opportunity to teach grade one students a music course in the coop program. There, she gained the experience of working with new learners and had the chance to explore music from different perspectives. 

Belle’s love of music is due to the teachings of her instructor Sue. She helped inspire and create an environment where her students enjoyed what they learned. Belle aspires to do the same, and help students love to play the piano. She is so excited to begin working with Alison, and all the other musicians!
