Born in Vancouver to Acadian parents, Daphnée Brideau began her private lessons in classical singing at the age of 9. She is currently a student at the Université de Moncton under the direction of Lisa Roy, she currently finished her third year of singing in interpretation.

 

A passionate soprano, she has had the chance to participate in several recitals, fundraisers and choirs in addition to winning first place at the Saint-Jean music festival in the provincial category twice (2018, 2019). At the Atelier d'Opéra de l'Université de Moncton, she interpreted Agathe and a flower seller in Les Mousquetaires au couvent (Varney) then she studied the title role of Cendrillon (Massenet) aswell as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) and now this year the role of just jeanette in Too many sopranos (Penhorwood). Daphnée is the recipient of numerous awards for her excellence in the interpretation program, including the Ferguson scholarship (2019) and Fernand-Arsenault (2022). She has also participated in the Young Artists series of L’Été musical de Barachois for a few years and the Saint Andrews Vocal technique program.

Née à Vancouver de parents acadiens, Daphnée Brideau a commencé ses cours privés en chant classique dès l’âge de 9 ans. Étudiante à l’Université de Moncton sous la direction de Lisa Roy, elle est vient tout juste de terminé sa troisième année de chant en interprétation.

 

Soprano passionnée, elle a eu la chance de participer à plusieurs récitals, levées de fonds et chœurs en plus de remporter la première place au festival de musique de Saint-Jean dans la catégorie provinciale à deux reprises (2018, 2019). À l’Atelier d’opéra de l’Université de Moncton, elle a interprété Agathe et une marchande de fleurs dans Les Mousquetaires au couvent (Varney) puis elle a étudié le rôle-titre de Cendrillon (Massenet), Pamina dans Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) et cette année le role de just jeanette de Too many sopranos ( Penhorwood). Daphnée est récipiendaire de nombreux prix pour son excellence au programme d’interprétation, dont la bourse Ferguson (2019) et Fernand-Arsenault (2022). Elle a participé également à la série Jeunes artistes de L’Été musical de Barachois depuis quelques années et le Saint Andrews Vocal technique program.
