Private Lessons & Classes

Sarah is a piano teacher and a graphic designer with a great passion for music and teaching. She completed her Grade 8 Piano through the Royal Conservatory at the age of 18, and her love of music has carried her throughout the years.

Originally from Ontario, Canada, she relocated to Newbruswick in 2019 to care for her Grandparent's historic ancestral home.  She began teaching piano lessons online for friends and family shortly afterwards, and began teaching at the Main Street Music Academy in Sackville, NB in 2020.

As a teenager, Sarah took every opportunity to learn about music and was an active member of the John F Ross Choir and Band, traveling to New York to participate in the Kiwanis Festival and Competitions, winning first in several categories. She also had the privilege of composing and performing an original song with Gillebride Macmillan at the Fergus Highland Games in 2017, while completing her 3-Year Advanced Diploma for Graphic Design. She has regularly participated in performing music at her church since 2015.

As a hobby she collects and learns how to play new instruments - including banjo, guitar, ukulele, flute, bodhran, fiddle, and bass - to name a few. She has also taken an interest in electronic music production and is largely self-taught.

The second oldest of 11 siblings, Sarah has a lot of experience working with children, and because of her family background, teaching comes quite naturally to her. She loves working with kids and makes an effort to form a connection with each of her students. It is her goal to inspire a passion for music and to help her students gain the skill and confidence to express themselves through piano.
