Emma McEvoy is a professionally-trained dance educator and Musical Theatre performer and choreographer. 

 

Emma started her theatre journey at Rothesay Ballet School studying Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary dance styles, while performing annually in Gala Ballet's production of The Nutcracker. In 2016, Emma earned a Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies through the Royal Academy of Dance. While Ballet is Emma's first love, her true passion is Musical Theatre. After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and English at the University of New Brunswick, Emma decided to pursue her passion of Musical Theatre. Emma was accepted into the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, British Columbia, completing the two year Conservatory-style program in 2019 and earning an Enriched Diploma in Performing Arts.

 

Since returning to New Brunswick, Emma has worked as a choreographer on numerous musicals, including Rothesay High School's Matilda (2026), Hampton High School's Ride the Cyclone (2026), and Rothesay Netherwood School's Lucky Stiff (2024), The Prom (2022), and The SpongeBob Musical (2021). Emma is also an instructor at KidSing, teaching competitive Musical Theatre dance and a variety of other styles. When not teaching or choreographing, Emma is the Front of House and Community Development Coordinator at Imperial Theatre.

 

Emma is excited to join Alison Dawn Voice & Music as the Showcase Director and looks forward to sharing her passion with her students.
